The sociology of health and illness, alternatively the sociology of health and wellness (or simply health sociology), examines the interaction between society and health.The objective of this topic is to see how social life affects morbidity and mortality rate, and vice versa. This aspect of sociology differs from medical sociology in that this branch of sociology discusses health and illness.

Medicine and Health Science. Medicine and health are a complex of disciplines concerning diagnosis, prevention of different diseases and illnesses, treatment and care about medical and physical well-being of every human or living organism. The diversity of disciplines is impressive. There are degree programs such as nutrition, pharmacology, midwifery, pharmacy, biomedicine, dental technology.

Medicine is the science that deals with diseases (illnesses) in humans and animals, the best ways to prevent diseases, and the best ways to return to a healthy condition. People who practice medicine are most often called medical doctors or physicians. Often doctors work closely with nurses and many other types of health care professionals. Many doctors specialize in one kind of medical work.

Depending on where research is started, health can be defined as “the state of being free from illness or injury” in the Oxford dictionary, although this does not appreciate the holistic approach to health, and does not take into consideration the physical, mental and social wellbeing that the World Health.

Health care, health-care, or healthcare is the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, recovery, or cure of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments in people. Health care is delivered by health professionals in allied health fields. Physicians and physician associates are a part of these health professionals.

The claims made by alternative medicine therapists are generally not accepted by the medical community because they lack of evidence based assessment of safety and efficacy (Wikipedia nd: 1 of 22). Most alternative medicine treatments are not patentable. The inability of their treatments to be patentable makes it difficult for them to get.
